Angel Radio

The idea is very basic – + Accentuate the positive aspects of being an older person. + Provide a radio station for older people to run themselves.+ Make the station unique by specialising in records made before1960The Angel Radio team numbers 82 volunteers. Several of our team are in their 80s, most are over 60.Most have never worked in radio before.Most are fit and active.Some have disabilities, including blind, deaf, arthritic, Parkinson's and stroke victims.All do as much as they feel comfortable withAngel Radio provides unique entertainment, information, reminiscence therapy, mental and physical stimulation, self-esteem, bereavement therapy, and friendly voices with natural personality, all produced by older people specifically for an audience aged 60 years and over.
