106.9 The Eagle – KEGK
OUR HISTORY In the first quarter of 2003, Fargo-Moorhead market research discovered an opportunity for a new radio station that played all the classics from the 60‚Äôs and 70‚Äôs. At the end of March, 106.9 transformed into ‚ÄúBeatles 106.9‚Äù, and for one week only played songs by The Beatles. Then during the start of April, the new Eagle 106.9 was unveiled. The station was launched using the Chris Elliott music and systems. Those systems and music—updated for 2008—are still the backbone of the station.RATINGS PERFORMANCEBeginning with that first Arbitron rating survey in the spring of 2003, The Eagle 106.9 jumped into the top five rankings among adults 25 ‚Äì 54.
