KXCV – KRNW

Signing on the air in 1971, KXCV was the first full-power public radio service in Missouri. KXCV provides in-depth news and information, classical music and jazz programming. In 1993, KRNW went on the air in Chillicothe, extending programming across most of the northern 25 percent of the state of Missouri. All programming emanates from KXCV on the campus of Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Missouri.Since its inception under the leadership of Station Managers Cathran Cushman, Rollie Stadlman, Cory Dennison, Sharon Bonnett, Ted Riley and Rodney Harris, and Northwest Presidents Bob Foster, B. D. Owens, Dean Hubbard, and John Jasinski, KXCV has served as a training ground for Northwest students interested in broadcasting.
