What Is Missouri Digital News? Missouri Digital News is the Missouri School of Journalism's only fully converged newsroom. Newspaper, broadcast and new media students work together covering state government and political issues from MDN's statehouse office.MDN is operated by the State Government Reporting Program of the University of Missouri School of Journalism. Selected journalism students are assigned to program's statehouse bureau for their Columbia reporting courses. In addition to MDN, stories prepared by the students are distributed to Missouri's newspapers, KBIA Radio in Columbia, KSMU Radio in Springfield, KOMU-TV in Columbia, The Columbia Missourian and KMOX Radio in St. Louis.With more than two dozen reporters in some semesters, the program is one of the largest statehouse bureaus in the U.S — if not the largest.
